COMING SOON: StickerSunshine

I have really exciting news!

On Monday 20th July I will be opening my very own Etsy shop called StickerSunshine! I am super excited about this and can't wait to show you the stickers I've been working on.

Obviously I know it's going to take a lot of work to get everything finished by Monday but I'm willing to work very hard towards it.

I've been working a lot already, which is why I've barely been writing blog posts.

More info will be coming shortly, I'll keep you all updated.

Follow my new Instagram @StickerSunshine to stay updated.

My aim is to make colourful stickers for planners that can be enjoyed by everyone. I've designed most of them with the Erin Condren planner in mind - but I hope to make my stickers useful for those of you with different planners too.

I will most definitely be taking custom orders, especially to start. Please let me know if you any requests or ideas of things you'd like to see in my shop.

Also advice -- I'll always appreciate anyone's advice who has gone through setting up their own shop so please let me know if you have any.

When I open on Monday 20th everything will be 15% off the normal price. I'll let you guys know more about that closer to the time.

I can't wait to share my stickers with you all!

Etsy Shop: Paradise Paperie

There are so many wonderful things I can say about Paradise Paperie that I couldn't possibly fit them all into one blog post. But I will try my very best just because I want you all to be just as blown away as I was and to order loads of stickers from them! I'm annoyed that my camera doesn't show just how lovely these stickers are so if you like them from the pictures, remember they are a hundred times even better!

I didn't realise this until I had made my purchase, but Paradise Paperie is actually fairly new to Etsy. Their opening day was on June 20th, and I believe I ordered the following week. By then they had already had a lot of orders, which I'm so pleased about because they really do deserve as much attention as they can get.

Vanessa and Brittany are the extremely talented girls behind all this. Any messages I had were signed by Brittany, and the sticker on my order confirmed that it was she who also packaged my order and shipped it. She is so lovely to talk to, and I really hope this isn't the end of my communication with her. You know me and my numerous complaints about international shipping...I'm sure you're all tired of me mentioning how much I hate that it is so expensive! I am so grateful to Brittany for all her help when I made this purchase. I was definitely not overcharged for shipping and I know that what I paid for the total order was worth every single penny because the stickers were soooo beautiful.

This set really grabbed my attention when I was looking through this shop. It's called the 'I'm on vacation' weekly set. The colours are so summery, and I just love them. There are all sorts of different stickers, and I know I will have a use for them all! There are beautiful full boxes and half boxes, really useful washi type stickers which always come in handy, and the general little icons for cleaning and meals etc. The weekend banner is so colourful, and I know it'll be the first sticker to be put down in the weekly spread for whatever week I choose to use these stickers. I want to use them as soon as possible - but I'm also too scared to use them because I want my spread to fully reflect how gorgeous they are!

The citrus weekly set has exactly the same types of stickers but in really bright orange, yellow and green. These stickers will be perfect for the August monthly colours in the ECLP. I was hoping to do a citrus themed spread one week so this is perfect. I'm in love with the colours.

I also got the sampler set so I could get a general idea of what their other stickers are like. I would go through a million cleaning stickers if I had more but at the moment I only have my laundry ones from Stickeriffic, which I'm trying to use sparingly. Otherwise I know my spreads would be full of various cleaning stickers. Cleaning has to be made fun in some ways right?

These ombre check lists are so useful, and I actually want to stock up on these because I could use all 9 way too quickly. Sometimes the full box ones are too much because perhaps I don't have that many things I need to do, but the half boxes with just three hearts are perfect. Really lovely colours, plus they feel really nice too.

Last but certainly not least are the normal heart checklists. Look at all the different colours! I could stare at this sheet for hours, but that would be weird so I'll try not to. I mean even the brown ones look good! I don't know about you guys but if I ever see browns or other dark colours on sticker sheets I always wonder what the point in them is. I always forget that some weeks I might choose to do a spread that'll include lots of browns and dark colours. Now I have loads of ideas going through my mind but I need to stop thinking about brown weekly spreads and carry on with this post. Heart checklists are a definite must buy from this shop.

So that is my sticker haul from Paradise Paperie. If you couldn't already tell, I am in love with this shop so much. They actually have one more weekly set which I didn't buy, and now I wish I had bought it because it would look great with the July colours. The temptation is always there in the back of my mind.

I should mention that all the stickers I bought were matte, but they do have glossy options for a lot (maybe all?) of their stickers. I'm not sure what they are like yet; it seems almost impossible for them to be any more amazing than the ones I have! Maybe I'll add some glossy stickers next time I order from them.

Please go and check out Paradise Paperie right now and tell them I sent you! I promise you that you will absolutely love whatever you buy. Thanks again so much Brittany for being so wonderful, and I hope to continue to be in contact with you for a long time. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I'd love to possibly work with you in some way someday. Being from the UK makes that very difficult, I know, but I am open to anything. Just ask, and I'll do whatever I can for you and Vanessa.

I GOT A JOB!!

Friday was such an exciting day for me because after so much time worrying I finally got a job!

The timing couldn't have been any better. Just so you guys know, I've been volunteering in a school for quite a while. Friday was my very last day working there, and while I was very sad to be leaving, I also felt like it was time to move on and spread my wings a bit.

BUT...during the day I was called to chat with a few people in charge, and they told me that due to circumstances, which I'm not going to talk about, they are able to employ me part time starting in September!

I have been struggling to find a job for a couple of months. I tried all the usual places like McDonalds, KFC etc, but none of them wanted me. I had no idea what I was going to do, and it was worrying me a lot. I'm so thankful that after all this time something has been made clear to me. I've had a tough few months so this has made a huge difference and has given me one less thing to worry about. I couldn't be happier.

I also never realised just how loved I am at work and how much I love the people I work with. During the rest of that day I had so many hugs from people. They seemed genuinely happy for me and glad they didn't have to say goodbye to me.

So that's my very good news for this week!

To anyone who is struggling to find a job or is maybe working somewhere they don't like...I understand some of the feelings associated with that. I just wish the best for you and hope that someday you'll get a great opportunity like I was fortunate enough to get. Please contact me if you'd like to talk about it or if you want advice of any kind. I want all my readers to know that I am here for you all, no matter what. Talk to me about anything, please.

I wish you all an amazing week ahead. And I hope all you Americans had the best Fourth of July weekend!

Etsy Shop: Cheeky Paper Creations

I am ashamed to tell you all that I had very little memory of making this purchase when I saw my confirmation email the next morning. It seems it was around 4am that I woke up and somehow saw that Cheeky Paper Creations was having a sale. I had never seen this shop before and I didn't really know what I wanted from there. But I ended up choosing these stickers. Like I said, I still have very little memory of making this purchase so it is pretty difficult to describe my thought process to you all.

I honestly can't believe I made an Etsy purchase in the middle of the night while half asleep!

Thankfully I really like the stickers I bought from Cheeky Paper creations. They are nice and colourful and can belong in lots of different types of spreads.

I made a purchase of lots of laundry stickers from Stickeriffic a little while ago (which you'll be able to see in a previous post) - but I don't have any other cleaning type stickers. So I'm actually really glad I have a few on these sheets. I need to get myself some more cleaning stickers from somewhere very soon because I think I actually need these more than laundry ones.

As you can see I bought two sampler sheets. One in lots of bright colours, and another that would be very suitable for April. These really are giving me a great idea of what types of stickers I like from Cheeky Paper Creations, and this will definitely help when I next make a purchase from this shop.

Jackie, the creator of these amazing stickers, is so lovely. I had to tell her my story of buying these in the middle of the night and I could tell she understood. I think it makes a huge difference to an Etsy shop when I can tell how lovely and friendly the owner is. I hope to be able to talk with Jackie more in the future and even look for ways I can work with her somehow in some way. What I love about the planner community is that there are endless ways for people to get to know each other and work with each other and just have fun!

Don't you think these stickers are amazing? Go make a purchase from Cheeky Paper Creations and tell Jackie I sent you! Don't forget to show me what you bought.

Making My Own Stickers

You probably know by now that I love nothing more than buying stickers on Etsy. I sometimes spend hours on Etsy looking at loads of different shops and imagining how I would use their stickers.
I'm always adding stickers to my cart but when I see the total cost plus shipping (shipping is the worst isn't it) I have to take everything out of my cart. Then I'm sad because I then know I can't have the amazing stickers I had just picked out. Yes, I often look through Instagram for coupons first before making a purchase - but on my budget these days not even that is good enough.

So I just went on Amazon and bought the cheapest sticker paper I could find. I don't mind if it is bad quality paper just yet because at the moment I'm only trying to see how various things work. I'll probably then buy one printable sheet and see what happens.

Random fact about me...I am the worst at cutting out in the whole world! I think it has something to do with being left handed. I could never find left handed scissors when I was younger so I kept switching hands all the time. I can't cut in a straight line and I always get jagged edges. People have made jokes about how bad I am. So I need to be extremely patient if I'm going to hand cut a bunch of stickers. This is why I'll probably go for the bigger ones rather than the more intricate ones. There's no way I could even consider getting a Silhouette yet.

Maybe someday I'll do more printing and even take the plunge and buy a Silhouette. I'd love to start my own little Etsy shop too - but this would probably be way in the future! Things are so crazy right now with moving and trying to find a job so I don't want to start anything like that while I have those things to deal with too.

If you have any tips or advice on how I can print my own decent stickers then I'd really appreciate that. If it works I think printable shops will become very useful to me. But also let me know which your favourite are. Where can I get good sticker paper that isn't too expensive? Anything you have to say would be greatly appreciated.
I'm still trying to get involved in the planner community but I'm not getting very far at the moment. Please let me know if you'd like to work with me in anyway. If you're an Etsy shop owner or a YouTuber or a fellow blogger, send me a message and I'm sure we can find some way of working together. I think that's a great way of making good friends. So please, just let me know. My instagram is @waffle.dreamland and my Twitter is @WaffleDreamland.

Etsy Shop: Formless Designs

I got super excited when I placed my order for stickers from Formless Designs. I was randomly looking at various pictures on Instagram when I saw one for this Etsy shop. It was for 50% when you spend $30 dollars or more. With this amazing offer I was able to get so many stickers for just over £10, not including postage. I actually felt kind of guilty because an offer like this is such a steal.

Anyway my stickers arrived a few days ago and I couldn't be happier. These will be perfect throughout the rest of the month since a lot of them are in the July colours. Also a lot of the summery ones will work really well for me in August too.

I love sampler sheets because they let you have a chance to try different types of stickers that you wouldn't really consider purchasing a full sheet of. I'm always in need of half boxes and full boxes so these half boxes will really come in handy someday. I also love the cute little cupcakes. I know I'll find a great use for each of these stickers except maybe the petrol (gas) tank ones since I currently am not driving. I was really happy with this sheet and love all the bright colours.

I thought I'd purchase some stickers in the July colours since I felt like I didn't have enough (I still don't!!). These are great, and I love the little watermelons.

Since taking these pictures I have already used the little grass sticker and I love how it looks in my planner. The rest will be perfect once I start doing more summery things. The ice cream stickers are super cute, I love them so much, and I just love the really bright colours and cute little faces.

Let's be honest, these dots are just dots. But I really like that they came in so many different colours - and I couldn't believe how many there are! I will have plenty of uses for these.

I can't really describe these well enough but I guess they have a sort of watercolour chevron design. The stickers on the left are half boxes and the ones on the right are normal strips shaped like a page flag (pointy ends). They are different lengths, which I actually really like.

These heart checklists have so many hearts! I think I'd be scared if I had that many things to do in one day - but I know these will be very useful on a particularly busy day. You know that I love any kinds of full box stickers - well the To Do List stickers are great. I'm not quite sure when I'll use them yet...but maybe the green one will look good in August. I'm not planning on using hydrate stickers just yet but I really want to soon and like the look of these. I think I might stock up on some more hydrate stickers before I start using them though since you need a lot just for one week.

So that was my sticker haul from Formless Designs. The owner, whose name I sadly don't know, was so lovely to talk to and also really helpful. She got my order shipped super fast, and my stickers were here in a few days. I've never received such a huge order before and probably won't for a while since money is extremely tight - but I will say it is even more fun to open the envelope and find sooo many stickers.

Go place an order NOW with Formless Designs and mention that I sent you! I can guarantee that you will not regret making a purchase at all. There is such a wide selection of stickers in the shop, and I know you will be struggling to stop yourself from adding most items to your cart.

Thanks Formless Designs for my perfect order of stickers!
